Read the Book of Job carefully. In chapter 41, the creature Leviathan is presented. Now, for a reason I am unaware of, it's usually said to be a sea creature. But read verses 18-21and it says that Leviathan breathes fire. Three guesses what it really is.

Wow well noticed Falconer. Seems you are quite the researcher My personal opinion is the dragon is evolved from a very generic serpentine monster so doesnt have to breath fire to be considered as a dragon. But what you have found certainly points to dragon heritage. I actually plan to put the Leviathon on the Dragons A - Z at some point.

I tried showing that to some people, and they just looked at me with that "Okay who left the asylum unlocked" look.

Thats very narrow minded of them. Do you know why they were so dismissive of your idea?

No, actually. I gather that since everyone thinks that leviathan is a sea creature (remembers the geocentric idea) anyone thinking otherwise is stupid regardless of facts.\ That and the common knowledge of my obsession with dragons.

Well in my opinion its best to ignore that kind of narrowminded reasoning. If they can offer intelligent arguments against your ideas then fine, but not just point blank rejection of an idea.
Personally i think you deserve a pat on the back for the find.

I Agree Lex - It's fine if someone doesn't agree but some people show a lack of respect in their responses. Everyone is intitled to their opinion and deserves the respect and recognition for that regardless on whether it is something you agree on or not

I think especially in this our field of work we will find many who disagree before they know what their disagreeing with.
But then the purpose of DT will eventually lessen that attitude somewhat.

Yeah, Everybody should be able to have a say, weather it doesn't make sense to the others, it might make sense to them.

Not only that, she is also mentioned in Isaiah 21:1 as being a dragon: In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the swift serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea. (From the English Revised Version) This is quite a good resource for comparing different translations of the Bible. While some translations call her a monster or whale, most refer to her as a dragon, so I do consider her a part of dragonlore.

Thats a fantastic find Tysha, im really impressed. Are you religious? or do you happen to just have an interest in the mythology of the bible? With all this talk on the Leviathan im quite tempted to stop researching the dragons physiology theory and start working on that

While I'd consider myself a spiritual person I lean more towards paganism than christianity. My only interest in the Bible is the occasional dragon-related snippet, I'm rather glad there are various translations available online as I don't own a copy myself.
