I personally dont believe they ever existed. I think they are a manifestation from the peoples imaginations that evolved naturally through out time.

I guess no one knows for sure but it's like a lot things in this world, it's having the faith and believe in something.
Many years ago we didn't think dinosaurs existed, we thought the earth was flat and it wasn't until science proved these facts that people starting believing it.
I personally think that dragons did exist and although I cannot back that up with scientific fact ,its just a gut feeling. I still find it amazing that Dinosaurs walked this earth so why not Dragons. There not a million miles apart.

Yes Lex, when every one finds out they did exist in the past, just as the world is round and not flat your going to feel very silly hehe! I kinda agree with Gleep, I think they could have existed, and think it's nice to think back to what could have been It could have been what made all those different countries to come up with a dragon idea!

Its a nice idea but i think its far more likely that inter trading and travelling spread thev various religions and superstitions including those revolving around snakes.
Dragons are alive in the respect that they have grown and evolved through time. But only due to our very powerful imagination in my opinion

Your probably right as lots of the stories about dragons do revolve a lot around religion and gods and tales have dramatised dragons through are own imagination . But if we get away from that far fetched vision of dragons is not possible that they could well of existed but just not have been exactly as they are portrayed in todays lifetime.

Oh absolutely its possible.
There are theories flying around all over the place.
Were they a dinosaur we have asumed wrong infomation about?
Could they have been another race? Perhaps now they have left earth?
Perhaps the theory in the physiology section of DT where the corrisive acids incinirate the bones making it impossible to find a whole dragon?
are they a relation of a creature we now take for granted?
Or perhaps they are gods?
These are all theories strongly believed by varying factions and people around the world.
Its just that i personally dont believe them. Thats certainly not to say none of them are true.

Absolutely we are. Who better that ones skeptical about dragons to run a dragon website. At least then we can be taken with some credibility.

I think if they had existed they would have evolved from a dinosaur similar if not exactly like the Veloceraptor.
