Generally speaking most poeple assume that Dragons would have been cold blooded animals. Just wanted to get everyones opinion on this and if so then would you expect them to regulate their heat by using the tempurature of their surroundings, similarly to reptiles or would they have another way of doing this i.e some scientists believe that dinosaurs had slightly different methods e.using their wings for the collection and dispersion of heat.

Well, if they were cold blooded they would have had to have some way of surviving through the winter like hibernation, or migration, and dragons who lived in water may have needed a protein which acted like an antifreeze in their blood like some fish do, they also may have been able to shiver to keep warm. If they were cold blooded which I expect they were, they wouldn't have had to eat as much as warm blooded animals which would be good for them as they wouldn't have had to have hunted to much in the winter months when it was to cold for them to move to much, also like you said gleep they could have made warmth by using their wings, or they could have moved underground or gone into a deep cave. In the summer they could have basked in the sun light to warm their bodies up. One problem is if they were to live on high mountains like a lot of people imagined they might have it may have been a bit to cold up there all year round to home a dragon, not just in the winter?

Also they did have the added advantage of being able to make a fire when ever they wanted, to sit around. Wander if they had any Marshmellows!!

That's true, they might have had chestnuts, hehe! And in the summer they could lose heat through their wings as they would be quite thin.

Your not far off acytually Gleep. I believe a dragon would have been cold blooded. Any animal they could have evolved from would have been. They also bear too much resemblance to serpents or lizards to be warm blooded.
Now if they were able to breath fire i imagine they might use that to keep themselves warm. As Diamond says hibernation is a possiblity or perhaps a change in habitat during the colder month such as some species of birds.
