I have another Dragon Question for the Experts. Where would dragons sleep and on what would they sleep on. I guess the answer would be in a cave but any where else they may choose? Also would they be nocturnal?

Well if you look at mythology there are several places a dragon would sleep.
British dragons tended to live in pools or lakes though a few lived on small hilltops.
Other european dragons tended to habitat marshes or forests, though some legends point them to caves as well. Even more bizzarre were some lived below us in the underwold such as Nidhoggr.
In the east the dragons lived almost everywhere, from the skies to the waters from the heavens to the caves.
So my conclusion is a dragon can live anywhere depending on the type of dragon it is.
As to whether it is nocturnal, no i dont think so, there are no legends that i know that specify nighttime as their time of wake.

So they would generally stick to natural surroundings to sleep on. I guess it would be a bit odd to have a dragon flying around picking up bits of tree, etc to make its nest. But what a sight that would be, a dragon flying around with half a fir tree in its mouth to make its nest with but I guess they would spend days making it and then sneeze and it would all go up in flames

Yes that would be a problem, and if a family of dragons all had colds the nest idea would certainly be problematic. ;D

But it would be pretty funny

To see a dragon... ahhh, is that not the dream of all present?
I think thah dragons sleep in their element. Earth dragons dig a cozy little pit to curl up in, fire dragons sleep in hot volcanic caves, water dragons underwater, etc.

Thats an interesting theory, im afraid i dont agree with you because to me that would indicate that dragons are infact not dragons but elementals. But then that might not be such a crazy idea

Rather, different species. The knucker, for example, that could be considered an earth elemental. THe wyvern, air. The european, fire. the Frost dragon, ice, etc.

Thats an interesting idea but im afraid i dont follow the same train of thought.
I personally dont believe in the existence of dragons. I believe they are a fantastic testimony to the power of peoples imagination. I also believe that had they existed they would have been a vfery "real" creature like us or like animals or like the dinosaurs. Therefore i dont think they would be based on elements. Perhaps some species of the dragon genus may have prefered different weather conditions and perhaps in that way we could associate them with an element. But only so much as with humans

When I was a kid I used to think that dragons could disguise themselves as things. So you'd get a tree dragon (i.e. that could blend in to look like another branch or tree) who you'd only see when they shifted position or moved to another tree. I saw quite a few, but who knows, I had - have- a good imagination!
