I have started this thread because my Artwork will be on DT very soon so this is like a Guest book, if you can't wait you can go to the Elfwood Website now and look me up on the recent additions page. You can make a comment on here when you finished looking at the first five pictures. Next five will be completed around the beginning of March. Well done, to Amy from TSL on the Coloured Dragon drawing. Excellent work I must say...
Bye for now...

Thanks, Stooby
I have a least another 20 planned out now which I will build on with new ideas. Each one is different from the previous. One of them is like a Balrog, but he's not a rip off from the Lord Of The Rings. Another is a Desert Dragon in a Micheal Whelan pose. I have one which is more the Dungeon and Dragons thing, but I will not give any details what he looks like. You will have to wait and see.
Nefarius went through a slight change. I removed a flag from the right hand side. Another Dragon evolved from this and you will see him in the next five.Dragellan got a comment on Elfwood which made me smile. Krellmarg is a favourite of mine. Devlin just happened when I couldn't decide what to draw. Grimstone is OK not the best, but well worth putting with the others.
You might be asking how many will I do? Loads...

Nice stuff Ink Wizard.
I think i like Dragellan best. Some of others have necks which are slightly too large for my liking.
But its all good stuff. How long does a pic take you?

I spend somewhere between 10 to 20 hours on each picture, Lex. Thing about necks I can agree on Grimstone, but the others are OK. I draw on A3 sized paper and the Dragon itself never leaves any room for a background so eventually I will be moving on to A2 so I can do book illustrations, but not for a few Years yet.
I draw using perspective to create each pose and this can make the drawing look good or bad. Like the message before each picture will be different from the previous creation and it depends on how your eyes see it. Your imagination is the key, if you believe something in the image then it's a masterpiece. Believe it's rubbish and you will never see it's for what it is.
Dragellan is the first one I did and I have never spent half a Day drawing like I did on that one. I like him as well and maybe, this weekend I should be making a start on the next one. I will make the necks smaller on those...
Somebody might be asking am I better than Rob Simpson so I will answer this question now? I will never be better than Rob he's too good, but from the age of 14 I have been trying to develop a style of my own. I am very proud of myself with these Dragons I am doing and all the hard work that I am putting into them will be worth it in the end...

Well, I'll admit I think you have managed to create a whole new style, and, trying to keep an open mind, I find it hard to find the inner power and soul of the dragon inside your pictures. But I still think you are a fine artist.
(Please keep all comments civil and refrain from any insulting criticism. The offending text has been removed.) Thank you. DiamondTear
I think you are a fine artist who has managed to create a whole new style for himself. (All I managed when I was trying to make a christmas dragon for lex was killing a few hundred trees worth of screwed up paper)

I don't like comparing myself to professionals because this is a sign of being jealous.

Well its normally me causing trouble so i will look out for a scary penguin On a slighty more serious note, if you need help with your avatter just let me know. Tell me which pic you want to use andi will modify your profile so it works. If your happy with the menacing penguin however thats fine too, though i think one of our less frequent users uses that avatar as well.

Excellent. Can you change the menacing penguin and replace it for something a bit more nasty. I would like Krellmarg. Can you sort it out Lex. I hope you like the small preview on the new Dragons I'm working on. Thanks! The Ink Wizard... I will try and sort that out for you tonight, if not then tomorrow. Glad your back Ink Wizard but all that needed to be explained has been explained and so your last post was obsolete. I am altering it for that reason.
