Yeah i have seen it.
It was ok, seemed a bit disjointed in places though.

I agree, a few parts just seemed a bit too perfect, or overdone, But my pals say that if you read the book it makes sence, so I might try that one day

The Books are great but I haven't seen the film yet. Will wait for it to come out on dvd too

Right, can't let this blasphemy continue. Sorry about that, just finished the book and everone thinks they know the story just because they saw the film. I think it's right what they say, 11 writers working in 11 blocks without any contact, and each had a different scene, and then they all got put together at the end. I mean, the golden compass is the amarican name, not the english one! Trust me guys, if theres one book you read this year of 2008, make it the northern lights, It is practicly a different story compared to that movie.
