Hi there all, probably should introduce myself.
Name is Ben and I have been a fantasy and history enthusiast for years, but have started to lose touch. I'm an aidworker who suddenly has plenty of time on the net, and its great to meet and chat to folk from my lonely location.
*I can hear the violins now*
Anyways take care and chat soon.
Benji

Hiya Ben
Its good to have you here.
An Aidworker? That sounds interesting. Where are you currently working? And where are you originally from?
Feel free when your feeling lonely to come and have a chat with us. We are quite new so as you can see we arent a large group but we are growing and Diamond is doing a very good job of advertising at the moment.
My names Lex, if you have any questions just ask me.

Yeah Diamond posted a link from the Dragon Pets forum, so she indeed is doing a good job.
Currently I'm working in a small island in Vanuatu, helping with a UNEP project to reduce chemical waste... fun stuff! Originally from OZ, but have spent the last 5 years living overseas.
Otherwise great to be here, and thanks for the warm welcome. Its great to see a sociable moderator by the way!

welcome ben im more of a collector from tsl forum but always up for a chat this lot are a hard working bunch who thrive on research etc what conection to dragons etc do you have I regret my friend that my interest is only that, an interest. Although this is something I have to work on. I guess dragons for me were always a fascination as a child, and well... I never really grew out of it My fascination with fantasy started with a film called Troll, and has continued ever since. But Dragons were always my favorite critter, and I hope to learn a lot more fact from watching these posts. I hear there was a thread mentioning a closing down of this forum. I've been here for two hours and I can already see that this is a great one, so please, don't even think about it. benji

All the DT team (Myself, Diamond, Gleep and Tali) are sociable to a degree. We all have days or sometimes 4 or 5 days where we are too busy to come on, But we are trying to create a community of people who have a connection or even mild interest in mythology. And we all like chatting On the few days when we are all involved in research, or something to doing with DT we leave the forum in the very capable hands of Boz, Falconer and Stooby who look after things while we arent able to. No DT wont close down, im not very good with HTML and i need to revamp the site so i got down after being unable to sort a problem out. Luckily the forum users and even some of the silent DT watchers rallied to helpme and the problem is sorted. Certainly you dont need to be a researcher to enjoy DT We have many plans, mainly to introduce mythology to those not already interested in it. You can see those in the updates thread.
